Salt Lake City, UT — Utah Music Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarships to musical students from Utah communities, is thrilled to announce Ariana Blanchard as the recipient of the 2024 Claudia Bigler Choir scholarship. Ariana is a 2024 graduate of Mountain Ridge High School in Herriman, Utah and will be attending Utah State University this fall.

Ariana Blanchard is part of the Mountain Ridge High School, in Herriman, Utah, class of 2023. She has loved attending this school, and she has had the amazing opportunity to have been apart of the choral program all 3 years of high school. She has participated in the Concert Choir, the Legacy Women’s Choir, and the Madrigal Choir and has loved every second of it.

“I would like to say thank you to my incredible choir director, Kelly DeHaan and my amazing voice teacher, Kathy Davis for everything they have taught me these last few years, and for helping me increase my love of music. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”

This $500 scholarship is awarded each year based on the applicant’s involvement in choir and a brief essay. This short essay invites students to reflect on how choral music has influenced their lives and how they will be involved in choir going forward. The application process opens each spring and applicants are invited to apply at www.utahmusicfoundation.org.
