“My name is Paige Gunther, and I’m from Riverton, Utah. I have been very involved in piano since I was 5 years old, and I continue to love playing and performing!” says Ms. Gunther. “In addition to taking piano lessons, I have competed in Federation, multiple region and state Solo and Ensemble Festivals, as well as won two “Maestro” awards from WorldStrides Festivals for accompanying my high school choirs. I will be attending Brigham Young University this fall and hope to continue to have piano be a big part of my life through performing in the community and serving others through music. “I have been playing the piano for nearly 12 years. I began when I was 6 years old, and for the past 5 years, I have been self-taught,” says Mr. Williams. “I competed at State Solo and Ensemble this year taking Rachmaninoff’s Op. 23 No. 5, receiving a superior rating. Rachmaninoff has become my favorite composer. Piano and music have become such a major part of my life. In addition to playing the piano, I also teach piano students.”

“On top of both playing and teaching, I tune and repair pianos. I took an online piano tuning and repair course offered by The Piano Technician’s Academy and have been developing my skills in that area for nearly two years now. I currently have a call to serve a religious mission in Fukuoka Japan for two years. Upon returning from Japan, I plan to attend Southern Utah University.”

“I am Jexton Bodrero, and for seven years, the cello has been my instrument of choice.” says Mr. Bodrero. “My most memorable experiences while in high school are my concerto performances with the Cache Symphony Orchestra and the Northern Utah Youth Symphony, as well as my Region and State Solo performances. The cello has provided me with countless opportunities to perform at various events, and now it offers me the chance to continue playing in college. I plan to play with the Weber State University Symphony Orchestra to further explore my passion for music and continue honing my skills. I am very thankful for this scholarship and all the support I have received. I'm thrilled to see where my passion for music takes me next!”

Recipient: Chloe Maaike Warnas

High School: Bingham High School, South Jordan, Utah

University: Weber State University

Since the age of three, Chloe has been singing and dancing and has performed on stage in over 25 productions, with some of her favorite roles including Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street, Queen of Heart in Miss Margene's Alice in Wonderland, Kala in Tarzan, and the University of Utah's Opera of Sweeney Todd.

Looking ahead, Chloe is beyond excited to attend Weber State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater and Dance. Chloe has been selected to serve as a Weber State Ambassador and can't wait to begin her journey as a Wildcat.

Harrison Buchanan is a senior at Bear River High School in Garland, Utah. Harrison has performed in a number of different musical and theatrical performances, including Tuck Everlasting, The Curious Savage, Cinderella, Annie Jr., Murder On The Ganges, The Music Man, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Different: The Musical, Curtains: A Musical Whodunnit, A Monster Calls, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat, A Doll’s House, and Oliver!.

Harrison will be attending Southern Utah University and will be studying Theater, with a minor in Shakespeare Studies.

Megan Keller is a senior at Box Elder High School where she will graduate with a 4.0 GPA. Megan has been heavily involved in the choir and theater programs since her freshman year and a member of the BEHS Madrigals for the last two years. She will be moving to Logan and attending classes at Utah State University next fall where she plans to major in choral education.

She would like to be a high school choir teacher and share her passion for music with students.

“I am thrilled to have been offered such an amazing scholarship,” says Ms. Keller. “This award is especially meaningful to me as I have been blessed with the opportunity to work closely with the Pace family in multiple productions. Both Dee and Nedra Pace were involved in many of my early experiences in theater, and their talent and kindness encouraged me to continue auditioning for productions.”

I am planning on attending Weber State University studying Music Education this fall, with the hope of being a high school band director.
