“My name is Whitney Henry and I am from Spanish Fork, Utah. I have been playing piano for almost 11 years now and I have grown to love the piano and everything music. Piano has really become a huge part of my life and I love sharing this talent of mine with others, whether it be teaching or performing. I will be attending Brigham Young University in the fall and plan on majoring in the piano performance program there.”

Betsy Wiscombe Piano Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Paige Gunther
High School: Riverton High School in Riverton, UT
University: Brigham Young University
“My name is Paige Gunther, and I’m from Riverton, Utah. I have been very involved in piano since I was 5 years old, and I continue to love playing and performing!” says Ms. Gunther. “In addition to taking piano lessons, I have competed in Federation, multiple region and state Solo and Ensemble Festivals, as well as won two “Maestro” awards from WorldStrides Festivals for accompanying my high school choirs. I will be attending Brigham Young University this fall and hope to continue to have piano be a big part of my life through performing in the community and serving others through music. CAROLYN REID OGDEN Piano Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Leah Rowley
High School: Manti High School in Manti, Utah
University: Southern Utah University
“I am so grateful to be receiving the Carolyn Reid Ogden Scholarship!” says Ms. Rowley. “Music has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I love being able to bless the lives of those around me with the magic of piano. I started piano when I was seven and have been learning and growing ever since. It has been a wonderful opportunity to learn from my Aunt and my Mother and I look forward to using what they've taught me throughout the rest of my life. CAROLYN REID OGDEN Piano Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Trent Williams
High School: Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Utah
University: Southern Utah University
“I have been playing the piano for nearly 12 years. I began when I was 6 years old, and for the past 5 years, I have been self-taught,” says Mr. Williams. “I competed at State Solo and Ensemble this year taking Rachmaninoff’s Op. 23 No. 5, receiving a superior rating. Rachmaninoff has become my favorite composer. Piano and music have become such a major part of my life. In addition to playing the piano, I also teach piano students.”
“On top of both playing and teaching, I tune and repair pianos. I took an online piano tuning and repair course offered by The Piano Technician’s Academy and have been developing my skills in that area for nearly two years now. I currently have a call to serve a religious mission in Fukuoka Japan for two years. Upon returning from Japan, I plan to attend Southern Utah University.”

Claudia Bigler Choral Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Elena Brough
High School: Mountain Ridge High School in Herriman, Utah
University: Southern Utah University
“Becoming the person I am today simply couldn’t be achieved without amazing people in my life,” says Ms. Brough. “They have helped me find ways to navigate life, especially through music. Receiving this scholarship is such an honor and I will use it to further my education in music. I’d like to give a special thank you to my choir director, Kelly DeHaan. Because of him, I am graduating high school with a love and passion for music that I will take on through the rest of my life!”

CONRAD DUNN ORCHESTRA Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Jexton Bodrero
High School: Bear River High School, Garland, Utah
University: Weber State University
“I am Jexton Bodrero, and for seven years, the cello has been my instrument of choice.” says Mr. Bodrero. “My most memorable experiences while in high school are my concerto performances with the Cache Symphony Orchestra and the Northern Utah Youth Symphony, as well as my Region and State Solo performances. The cello has provided me with countless opportunities to perform at various events, and now it offers me the chance to continue playing in college. I plan to play with the Weber State University Symphony Orchestra to further explore my passion for music and continue honing my skills. I am very thankful for this scholarship and all the support I have received. I'm thrilled to see where my passion for music takes me next!”

Dee Pace Theater Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Chloe Maaike Warnas
High School: Bingham High School, South Jordan, Utah
University: Weber State University
Since the age of three, Chloe has been singing and dancing and has performed on stage in over 25 productions, with some of her favorite roles including Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street, Queen of Heart in Miss Margene's Alice in Wonderland, Kala in Tarzan, and the University of Utah's Opera of Sweeney Todd.
Looking ahead, Chloe is beyond excited to attend Weber State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater and Dance. Chloe has been selected to serve as a Weber State Ambassador and can't wait to begin her journey as a Wildcat.
Chloe would like to thank the Dee Pace Musical Theater Foundation with all her heart for giving her this incredible opportunity and honor to carry forward Mr. Pace's unforgettable legacy, love, and passion for the stage.

Dee Pace Theater Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Harrison Buchanan
High School: Bear River High School, Garland, Utah
University: Southern Utah University
Harrison Buchanan is a senior at Bear River High School in Garland, Utah. Harrison has performed in a number of different musical and theatrical performances, including Tuck Everlasting, The Curious Savage, Cinderella, Annie Jr., Murder On The Ganges, The Music Man, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Different: The Musical, Curtains: A Musical Whodunnit, A Monster Calls, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat, A Doll’s House, and Oliver!.
Harrison will be attending Southern Utah University and will be studying Theater, with a minor in Shakespeare Studies.

Dee Pace Theater Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Megan Keller
High School: Box Elder High School, Brigham City, Utah
University: Utah State University
Megan Keller is a senior at Box Elder High School where she will graduate with a 4.0 GPA. Megan has been heavily involved in the choir and theater programs since her freshman year and a member of the BEHS Madrigals for the last two years. She will be moving to Logan and attending classes at Utah State University next fall where she plans to major in choral education.
She would like to be a high school choir teacher and share her passion for music with students.
“I am thrilled to have been offered such an amazing scholarship,” says Ms. Keller. “This award is especially meaningful to me as I have been blessed with the opportunity to work closely with the Pace family in multiple productions. Both Dee and Nedra Pace were involved in many of my early experiences in theater, and their talent and kindness encouraged me to continue auditioning for productions.”

JIM FOLLETT band Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Savannah Hopkin
High School: Roy High School, Roy, Utah

"My name's Savannah Hopkin, and I'm beyond excited to receive the Jim Follett Band Scholarship!” says Ms. Hopkin. “I have been playing flute for nine years, and picked up saxophone and percussion in my high school years. I am planning on attending Weber State University studying Music Education this fall, with the hope of being a high school band director. I hope to inspire my students to grow as musicians in the way Mr. Follett has inspired his. I'm honored to be a recipient of this scholarship!”

Steve ShirtS band Scholarship Recipient
Recipient: Elizabeth Carroll
High School: Emery High School in Castle Dale, Utah
University: Snow College
"My name is Elizabeth Carroll and I am from a small town in Utah called Castle Dale. I have been doing some form of music for over 12 years, and band, specifically percussion and four-mallet techniques has been my favorite. I was able to compete in the Sterling Scholar category for Music, and won! Band has been a huge part of my life as my father is a band teacher, and he is the reason I pursued percussion. I have also had the opportunity to write my own music, specifically choral, and have it performed for my community. I love working with people and sharing my talents and I hope I can inspire others as those before me did. I will be attending Snow College in the fall with plans to get my Bachelors in Music, with an emphasis in Commercial Music.”
